Our family was invited to speak at the Homeschool Alumni National Reunion. Yeah... we didn't know there was one either. Anyway, the reunion was held near St. Louis, Missouri. Timothy participated in a panel discussion as well as spoke on the rich use of Scripture and the connection between home education and other reformations.

Somehow, unique families discover each other. We met the Wissmann family in Orlando where they were performing music as a family in several area churches. They currently have 13 children and our families get along quite well together. After the conference, we decided to take a vacation to the western United States and Canada and stopped to see the Wissmann family in Nebraska. A few more generations like this and we may be the ones choosing the next US president.

Judah and Jared flew to Calgary to meet up with the family half-way through their trip. We spent a week in Banff visiting Lake Louise, hiking, rock climbing, and living in close quarters inside the pop-up during the cold rain.

Lake Louise...

Much to Boni's disgust, the rest of us like hiking away from the trails... which means we have to cross sub-freezing water multiple times...

"Timothy this is ridiculous!!!"

Ok, there are some key differences in the way Tim and Boni react to certain situations. Boni wonders why her kids can't enjoy a good book by the river instead of playing on rock walls. She tensely watches as her kids come over the edge of the cliff... Timothy makes a kiddie pool in a river that says no swimming.
