Fall colors...


The high school co-op took a trip to visit an organic farm in Bokwang. This same farm is where we have our lettuce shipped from...








After the farm, we went hiking and visited the beach...







We took an overnight field trip with the Tuesday co-op to visit sites that are significant in Korea's Christian history which is not long, having begun in the late 1800's.
Here is a Korean fortress in Seosan. Christians were persecuted and martyred inside these walls.

Lunch at a market in Jeonju...



We arrived in Jeonju and went to visit the Jesus Hospital. It was founded in 1898 by Dr. Mattie Ingold, a woman physician from North Carolina. The purpose of the hospital was to provide medical care and proclaim the gospel. The cemetery was for the missionaries who worked at the hospital.

After all the work this semester, we thought we might be seeing this sign again...


We took a hike up the mountain where the foreign missionaries built a community for their families. Their work was with the people living in the valley, but they had to move their families to the mountains because their children were getting diseases in the congested valleys.
